程 Step1. Warming up
1. Sing a song: London Bridge is falling down.
Step 2: Presentation and practice
创设情景,出示一张老师小时候的照片,并提问:“Who is that in the picture? ”引导生答:“That’s you.,when you were five years old. ”师再提问: “Guess!Was I a good girl back then?” 引导生答:“Yes, it was.”
出示Xiaoling的照片,并介绍:“This is Xiaoling.What about Xiaoling? Was she a good girl back then?”引出课题Unit 9 Was I a good girl back then?并板书课题,学习单词then,back then
Step 3: Learn the dialogue.
1. Have pupils look at the pictures on Page 50—51.
2. Guide pupils to see that Xiaoling and her mum are looking at some photos in a photo album, and that the photos are about Xiaoling when she was a little girl.
3. Set a purpose for listening to the dialogue: What was Xiaoling like when she was five years old?
4. Play the dialogue video , then answer the question.
5. Play the dialogue video again and find the new words and sentences to learn. 备注

6. Read after the tape,then read the dialogue in pairs
7.You may discuss with pupils the ending of the dialogue. What was Mum going to say when she said “But now...?”.
Step 4:.Presenting the further vocabulary items
1.You may provide this lead-in to the further vocabulary items:When Xiaoling was five years old, her hair was very long. She was very quiet and very polite. But now, she has had some changes.L et’s find out other changes to children when they grow up.
2.Have pupils practise describing the changes.You may use the following sentence structures(using the first picture as an example):
