Teaching Aids 1.　the tape of the listenng material 2.　a tape recorder Teaching Procedures Step 1 Greetings and Lead－in 　(Greet the whole class as usual.)T:　Today let’s study Grammar 1 and have listening practice. Step 2 Presentation 　The teacher asks the students to finish the activity as the following steps.Steps Content Have the students look at these compound words,　understand its three types and classify them. Ask the students to work in groups of four to classify them,　recall and write out the compound　 words according to their types. The teacher counts up the number and see which group write the most compound nouns. Activity 2: A. 　Have the students make compound nouns according to the requirements and say the meanings of the new words. B. 　Work in groups of two and check the answers.
