Id like to move on now and talk about servers. Here, we are extending and integrating the server technology that weve built. ArcIMS will continue to be the map publishing systems, but weve also extended a new Web application across it as well as the ArcGIS Server platform and embedded ArcSDE inside of ArcGIS itself and made many improvements in speed and interoperability, security, and development support. * ArcGIS Server is also a new release. Id like to call it a major release. Id like to almost call it a new platform. It has changed from a developer-focused product to a complete comprehensive server-based GIS system, and thats very exciting. It has a number of new, free application clients, out-of-the-box services so, instead of building them, you simply install the server and you can do mapping and visualization, global visualization, 3D sorts of things like right a way do geoprocessing. You can do data management, sort of like ready to go. And, the whole focus here is the GIS professional will be able to use these servers to publish or make available their information to a whole new class of users, your users. Id like to show very briefly a little video that talks about some of the inspiration behind server thats done by some of the developers. * ArcGIS Server at 9.2 is licensed differently. Its licensed by functionality and capacity. It becomes much more affordable and also flexible. We are going to license this with three levels of functionality—data management which is kind of like ArcSDE, mapping and visualization with Globe in a box, and, finally, an advanced version with geoprocessing and Web editing. Were also going to scale it by capacity, so instead of just a big enterprise system, were also introducing a workgroup version for 10, 20, 30 people to be able
