Chinese tea is broad and profound(博大精深).The origin of tea can date back to the ancient time. Tea culture entered its most prosperous period in Tang and Song Dynasty, which had evolved a condition that the fashion of drinking tea had extended all over the country and tea had won the status as national beverage. There are hundreds of varieties of Chinese tea. They can be classified into six basic categories according to the different techniques involved in process of the tea . Green tea Black tea Oolong tea White tea Yellow tea Dark tea Green tea It has the most medicinal value and the least caffeine content of all Chinese tea. It helps with anti-aging, and it also prevents computer radiation and bad health. Green tea is the variety that keeps the original color of the tea leaves without fermentation during processing. Red tea is fermented before baking. It is a later variety developed on the basis of the green tea. It warms the stomach and helps with digestion(消化). It is a most suitable choice in cold seasons. Oolong tea Oolong sits half between green tea and black tea. Typical oolong tea leaves are green in the middle and red on the edges.
