Step 1 Free talk. Ask Ss to talk about the question: What are you supposed to do when you are invited to a party? For example, time, coat, present, greetings, etc. Step 2 Discussion. Show Ss some pictures about the table manners and then let Ss to discuss the table manners they know. Step 3 Table manners. Show Ss that there are many table manners around the world. But different countries have different customs. Step 4 Activity 1a. Ask Ss about the question “How much do you know about table manners around the world?” and then to take a quiz. Circle T or F after each sentence. Step 5 Free talk. Ask Ss to describe the three pictures in 1b. Step 6 Activity 1b.
