One of the major impetuses for this change was the Internet and it forever changed the way humans communicate. In a separate social sphere was the ever increasing distrust of United States politicians as well as increasing frustration of U.S. citizens with the inaction of their representatives. Our goal in creating this project is to provide citizens with the ability to easily view legislation that is proposed in the United States Congress and legislation that has already been passed. Citizens will also have the ability to log into the system and voice their opinion on legislation by voting yes or no, and also have the option of discussing legislation with their peers. They will also have the ability to write summaries of legislation, translating it into english that is understandable by everyone (not just those members of society who hold law degrees).1.2 Team members and tasksThe tasks for the project were divided into two parts that could be developed in parallel, allowing us the ability to work independently and in the most efficient manner. Dan Vingo: Integrated a user registration and profile system and voting and result analysis. Along with voting verification. Dan Skorupski: Gathered legislative data from various sources and built a database around them. Provided textual and graphical display of data and integrated a discussion system for pieces of legislation. After these individual modules were implemented we worked together to bring all the pieces
