PART ONE: Embarkation, Our Cabin, Movies Under The Stars Embarkation was a breeze. What a great way to start a cruise...and this report! The old passengers (the ones for whom the fun was all over) were all off the ship by 10:30am.? Ive never seen the debarkation area so clear before they started letting us on before. I mean there was not even anyone waiting at curbside to take them back to the real world.? At 11:15 we were on the ship and in our stateroom.? Having arrived at Port Everglades for our holiday sailing of the Caribbean Princess at 9:45am that meant we were not in line even two hours.? Reports of those who came later indicated that those who arrived at noon or later had no line to wait in at all.? Pretty darn impressive I must say and way more?quickly handled than on our Star Princess cruise in October.? I think that just goes to show how much a Coast Guard or Customs spot inspection of the ship can slow things down as it did on that Star cruise.? We recognized the same embarkation staff doing about the same stuff (different pier though) just way earlier/ Again Princess gets big points on their consistent handling of the embarkation procedure. Once on board we made our way to cabins D755 a category BB aft balcony for Lisa and I and D721 a category J inside cabin right down the hall for the Sydney and Whitney.? I made everyone promise not to mess up their cabins before we got video of them....again.? I always meke them promise to do that but then I get so excited about being on board that I forget all about it.? This time we didnt forget but that was probably because I lost Lisas camera. Huh? Rewind a couple hours to when we dropped off our Dollar Car Rental, a new Chrysler 300 (looks kinda like a Mercedes if you glance at it real quick then look away- good enough for me) It seems that I forgot to get it out of the car before turning it in so Dollar was hard at it (yeah right) looking for it.?
