FADE TO: FLIPPING COINS Several replicas of Dent’s coins are shown flipping and the bat shadow moves closer and closer to the screen. CUT TO: INT. ARKHAM ASYLUM – NIGHT The camera pans through Arkham’s secured wing where the deadliest criminals are locked up behind heavily secured doors. The camera stops and zooms in slowly through The Joker’s window. CUT TO: INT. JOKER’S CELL – NIGHT The Joker is shown lying on a small cot inside his cell where several newspaper articles about his crimes and Batman’s heroics cover the small narrow walls. The Joker is wearing an orange prison jumpsuit and has his green hair and makeup on. He is laughing hysterically while reading an article about the mysterious disappearance of Harvey Dent/Two-Face’s body. THE JOKER: (Saying to himself quietly and licking his lips) He’s out there. Gotham knows it and they’ll find out soon. CUT TO: EXT. ARKHAM ENTRANCE GATE – NIGHT Two guards armed with shotguns are shown walking around securing the gate. A mail delivery truck drives up toward the gate. GUARD #1: Isn’t it a little late for package deliveries? GUARD #2: That’s what I thought. The second guard approaches the white mail truck and we don’t see the guard’s face. GUARD #2: Excuse me, sir but there are no deliveries past four allowed here. TRUCK DRIVER: It’s really important, though. An inmate’s mom wanted to make sure he got this package. GUARD #2: What package? A silent shot is heard and the second guard collapses. The first guard panics and tries to call for backup but the sniper guns him down from the tower. CUT TO: INT. GUARD TOWER – NIGHT T
