Enzymatic synthesis has become a hot research topic in the synthesis of high molecular weight compounds due to the advantages of efficiency of the synthesis pollution free high specificity low impurity content continuous producing and easily control of molecular weight.This study provides a more ef?cient and convenient way for the synthesis of biological macromolecules by enzymatic synthesis. The research of enzymatic synthesis is still in the exploratory stage and the reportsare few. To explore high activity and high stability of the synapses is the key in the enzyme engineeringof preparation of biological macromolecules. In this paper the types and application of enzymes the mechanism of action and the improvement of the catalytic performance as well as other aspects of domestic and foreign research status are reviewed and its application prospects and future research directions are discussed.
