An ad-hoc questionnaire was filled out by 155 students from five different degrees at the University of Murcia (UMU) - Spain and the Catholic University of Córdoba (UCC). A SWOT matrix was applied using a qualitative and quantitative approach. The results show that the greatest differences for students are external factors relating to economic, social and political context. These results indicate new reflections on future actions in both European and Latin American universities, aimed at achieving greater involvement in promoting labour insertion for their students. In conclusion, universities must contribute to proactively establishing a professional and vital project enabling students to adapt to the unstable employment context. ??TThhee AAuutthhoorrss..PPuubblliisshheeddbbyyEEllsseevviieerrLLtdtd..This is an open access article under the CC BY-NC-ND license (Phetetpr-:/r/ecvrieeawtivuencdoemr mreosnpso.nosrgib/liilciteynosefst/hbey-Onrcg-nandi/z3i.n0g/).Committee of CITE2014.
