Deep Sea Mission 　　Xiangyanghong 09， carrier of China’s manned deep-sea submersible Jiaolong， sets sail from its home port in Qingdao， Shandong Province， on February 6. 　　In the following four months， Jiaolong will conduct scientific expeditions in the northwest Indian Ocean， the Yap Trench and the Mariana Trench. 　　 Population Target 　　China’s population is expected to reach approximately 1.42 billion by 2020， according to the National Health and Family Planning Commission. 　　At the end of 2015， the population numbered about 1.37 billion. 　　The annual natural population growth rate will be around 6 per thousand， while the gender ratio at birth is expected to be reduced to 112 boys for every 100 girls by 2020. 　　China’s primary family planning goals were accomplished during the 12th Five-Year Plan （2011-15） period. The natural population growth rate stayed at 5 per thousand， while the male-to-female ratio among newborns fell from 117.94 to 113.51. 　　The commission called for more support for women returning to work after giving birth and encouraged employers to support a balance between work and family for employees. 　　 Job Facilitation 　　The State Council， China’s cabinet， plans to create over 50 million new urban jobs by 2020. 　　The government will improve employment structure and quality， and keep the urban headline unemployment rate under 5 percent by 2020， according to the employment facilitation plan for the 2016-20 period released by the State Council on February 6. 　　It says China will make proactive employment policies. 　　The state will support sectors that create lots of jobs and promote entrepreneurship， such as businesses related to the sharing economy. 　　Efforts will also be intensified to help college graduates， farmers and workers， affected by the country’s overcapacity-cutting drive， to secure jobs. 　　The plan also stresses the importance of improving the efficiency of the human resource market and enhancing workers’ professional s
