College graduates work as village officials It is universally acknowledged that in face with the scarcity and loss of the talent resources in rural areas, as well as the severe employment situation, being village officials becomes an alternative to plenty of college graduates. Here, I’d like to share my opinion with you about this issue. In my opinion, it just like a double-edged sword. For one thing, there is no denying that it is a good chance for college graduates to train themselves. Then what can they contribute to the rural areas and what can they gain from theses experiences? To start with, college-graduate village officials are those who have abundant knowledge and consciousness of innovation, they can use these advantages to transmit new ideas and new cultures, what’s more, it can also help narrowing the gap between urban and rural areas. Furthermore, it’s a good way to help them understand the national policy about the promotion of the development of rural to build a new socialist countryside. For another, this is an indispensable wealth to them, it can not only help them to give full play to their talents，realize their value of life, but also help them form a firm belief and a strong sense of social responsibility in the long life journey. Also, there exists someone take it as springboards, they didn’t put their heart into it, therefore, it will not have substantial contributions to the rural areas. Different people have different ideas, but if I am a village official, I’ll try my best to serve the whole people, and do the right thing to realize my value of life.
