We have been taught that it is wrong to lie ,but we can’t avoid telling little lies ,most of which are not harmful,and we call them the white lies.Telling white lies is not to hurt others or to gain some benefits . Instead, we do it in order to avoid hurting someone’s feelings or to make them feel better. For example: A 60-year-old man, who is in hospital for a physical check before going on a holiday with his families,believes that he is in good health.However, the doctor just finds that the old man has gotten a kind of cancer,which will end up his life within three months. So,what could the doctor do ?Should the doctor minimize the degree of the illness and conceal the truth until their holiday is over,or tell him the truth?
