3). To get rid of garbage problems, the city will load huge spaceships with waste materials and send them towards the sun, preventing landfill and environmental problems.
4). Everyone will be given a telephone number at birth that will never change no matter where they live.

2. To Enable the students to talk about the future.
3.To enable sts to work cooperatively with others 情感态度价值观 o enable sts to know about the trend of the developing world and the necessity of constant development.
To enable sts to form positive attitudes towards life in the future. 教学重难点 1. Full understanding of the text by using different reading skills.
2. Grasp the new words phrases (see the above). Difficulty drill: To develop the students’ reading strategies and lead the sts to talk in class actively. 教学方法 Task-based teaching methods; Communicative Approach; Interactive method 教具 a computer, a projector and a guiding paper.
二、教学流程设计Step1. Lead-in(导入)Ask sts to look at these pictures and answer : what are they about ?
S:“ The Time Machine”, the mechanical cat “Duo La A Meng” and “Time Tunnel”.
T::Good answer. ’s travel to the future -- read an article “The City of the Future”. And show the pictures at the same time.
Purpose: To arouse the students’ interest of the text in order to make them eager to learn more about the city of the future.
Step2:Pre – reading
