Since the title is an important part of the patent literature, the title translation of the patent literature is the top priority of the process of translation of the patent document, whether the title translation is accurate or not is related to the dissemination and exchange of patent documents. Therefore, translation is not merely the conversion between two languages, it needs the translator fully takes into account the differences between the two kinds of languages and culture, and find the best translation through careful analysis. The paper first outlines the requirements and principles of the patent document and its translation following the principles, the translation of the patent document title has its own unique principles and translation skills, but also the English expression habit. Secondly, through the titles of simple forms, complex or long forms and other forms, we should pay more attention to a number of issues in title translation to analyze and explore summarized translation skills. Finally, combined with practical experience, this article, discusses the patent document title translation skills. So, only after a thorough understanding and analysis of the translation skills of the patent document title, can we get a more accurate and more standard patent literature title to better promote the exchange of Chinese and foreign technology.
