Let the fun, food, drink and competition begin!  Palmetto Golf Club Devereux Milburn Memorial Trophy 58th Annual April 1st April 2nd 2010 FORMAT Scoring will be 36-hole team better ball with handicaps. Play will be from white tees, except for Gold tee contestants who will play from the Gold tees. HANDICAPPING Following U.S.G.A. Rules of handicapping for a team play event, each player will be given 90% of his/her handicap. Gold tee players may play from the gold tees with proper U.S.G.A. handicap adjustment. Maximum handicap awards will be 20 for men and 24 for ladies. The Committee may take action based on the play of a competitor if they play better than their handicap potential. AWARDS Trophies will be awarded to the 1st and 2nd place Low Net teams and 1st place Low gross team. Following the first round of play, teams will be flighted by net score. Should the second round not be completed, then the flights established after Friday’s play will be used to award merchandise certificates. Should the first round not be completed, then flights will be established by handicaps for the second day’s play. At the conclusion of Saturday’s round, merchandise certificates will be awarded to the winners of the flights established. In a case of a tie for first place net or first place gross, a playoff will be held on the course beginning on hole sixteen. If there is tie for second place or conditions do not permit a playoff Saturday, then all ties will be broken using the standard USGA procedure: the last 9 holes, the last 6 holes, the last 3 holes, and then the 18th hole.
