Anode Baking Furnace Management in Later Baking Period JIANG Chao??yang??ZHANG Yong??rong (Guangxi Branch of CHALCO??Pingguo??Guangxi 53 1400) Abstract??The operation life designed for anode baking furnace normally is 10 years??However??a lot of baking fur- naces which have been running for less then 8 years has to be overhauled at present because of the hi??gh energy con- sumption??stuffing burned seriously??poor anode quality and high operating cost??The management approach of oper- ating a 10??-year baking furnace which was put into operation in 1994 in the later baking period is described in this paper??After 10 years operation the flues in the furnace were partially and gradually damaged??but the furnace is still working normally by the delicate management in the later baking period??Some experiences including equip?? ment management??process control??improvement of production organization are summarized and the suggestions for further improving are put forward in this paper??
