Unit3 Welcome to our school Grammar Personal pronouns Analysis of the teaching material This is the grammar of unit3. It plays a very important role in English teaching. By studying this lesson, students will learn how to use personal pronouns. This is the first step to learn English well. Teaching aims and demands: knowledge objects To learn some new words To learn some phrases and sentences: be good at I want to say hello to her. Pardon? I can’t hear you well on the phone. ability objects To know the subject form of personal pronouns To know the object form of personal pronouns Teaching methods and studying ways In this class, I will mainly use ‘task-based’ teaching method. I will use the ‘self-study’ method to help students understand the text and use the cooperation method to let students know how to use personal pronouns. Teaching aids the multi-media Teaching procedures Part1 subject form Step1 Lead- in( 3’) Show a picture to students and ask T: Who is he ? S: He is Jay Chou. T: Can you say something about him? S1: He is a pop star. S2: He is cool. Show three more pictures about my friends and ask students to pay attention to personal pronouns.(通过呈现周杰伦的照片引起学生兴趣,并且引出人称代词,再呈现班上同学的照片强调人称代词的主格,为下文学习作铺垫) Step2 Presentation( 10’) Show students a table about the subject form of personal pronouns. ? Singular Plural Subject form I you he she it we you they Give students some examples about how to use subject form. Tell students we can use personal pronouns to replace nouns for people or things. We use the subject form when the noun is the subject. Show students the following sentences: My name is Simon. I study in Beijing Sunshine Secdonary School. (I 代替Simon) Millie, are you in Class1? (you 代替Millie) Mr Wu is our English teacher. He teaches English very well. (he代替Mr Wu ) Lily is my classmate. She is helpful and polite. (she代替Lily) This book is interesting. It is about cartoons. (it代替this book) I’m Simon and this is Millie. We are in Grade 7. (we 代替Mil
