Explain “to+v.” to students 动词不定式：to +v 1．做动词宾语。 want to do something, agree to do something, decide to do something, need to do something, start to do something, forget to do something, hope to do something, continue to do something 这些放在谓语动词之后的不定式其实是位谓语动词的宾语。但是，我们可以不用太多关注其句子成分，按照固定搭配记忆即可。例如： Remember to spend a day in Central Park watching a play by Shakespeare in the open air. 2. 做宾语补足语和形容词补足语 我们常说的不定式做宾语补足语指ask somebody to do something结构中的不定式，如： I told them to stop, but they wouldn’t. (做宾语补足语) I’m so happy to be invited to your party. （做形容词补足语） 对于不定式做宾语补足语的用法，按照单词搭配记忆即可，如:“ask somebody to do something, tell somebody to do something等，而不用将其分为动词、宾语与补足语。而对于不定式做形容词补足语，只须知道be happy to do something, be glad/afraid to do something 即可，而不必太多关注不定式的句法功能。 3．作目的状语 不定式可以作目的状语，如模块中的句子：To watch baseball, go to the Yankee Stadium.中的动词不定式。不定式作目的状语可以放在句末，也可以放在句首。例如： He got up at five o’clock to catch the early bus. 4. 作定语 动词不定式做宾语一般是表示物体的用途或者要做的事情等。如： The place to learn more about Liverpool’s importance is the Maritime Museum. The best place to sit is in the front row. 在记忆这一部分内容时，我们不必太多关注不定式的作用，可以按照单词用法记忆，记住在way, time, chance, place之后用to do 就可以了。 5．作表语 不定式还可以用来做表语，如： The best way is to read the play before you see it. b.
