Definition Total Agriculture Trade is the sum of all the commodities traded between countries, encompassing food for humans, animal feed, livestock themselves and most products derived from animals and vegetables, such as fibres, oils, wool and skins. Total Agricultural Trade can be understood simply by the item groups that build the total. The agriculture groups are divided as follows: Alcoholic Beverages, Animal Fats, Cereals, Edible Offal’s, Eggs, Feed Products, Fibres of Animal Origin, Fibres of Vegetal Origin, Fish (Meal), Fruits, Hides and Skins, Honey, Live animals, Meat, Milk, Nuts, Oil Crops, Oil Crops Non Food, Other non-food, Pulses, Roots and Tubers, Rubber Gums Waxes, Spices, Stimulants, Sugar, Sugar Crops, Tobacco, Vegetable Oils, Vegetables and Water. As shown in the Total Agriculture Trade, the data has inside items with no calories as fibres or water, and animals or animal products, such as pigs or hides and skins. Total Food Trade is a sub category of Agriculture trade. Here, you can find items like Malt or Infant Food, but not animal feed or skins or wool. The meaning and goal of Total Food Trade is to represent the trade of all the commodities that are good for human consumption and that give calories. Therefore, Rubbers and gums are excluded from Total Food Trade as are animal feed and tobacco products. The list of Food Trade is shown below, after the Total Agriculture Trade list.
