It details the interface between the Safety Security Department and other parties concerned. 5.2 Application This procedure is applicable to all CPECC personnel and their subcontractors working on Company Project/Contracts. 5.3 Objectives 5.3.1 To ensure that all accidents, property damages and near misses are properly reported in accordance with CPECC Procedures and Safety Regulations. 5.3.2 To ensure that all accidents, identify shortcomings or non-compliance with safe systems of work procedures and identify corrective actions to prevent a reoccurrence. 5.3.3 To involve line management in the review of accident information in order to obtain their recommendations for improving safety performance. 5.3.4 To inform Management, Project Director /Project Manager, of all major events (Accident , Property Damages and Near Misses) in order to exchange thoughts and experience in order to prevent similar accidents/incidents. 5.3.5 To provide information to the Safety Security Department on current trends in losses and injuries to personnel in order to present the facts and provide information for management action. 5.4 Definitions Accident An undesirable event that results in harm to people, damage to property or loss to any processes including fires or Incident An event which, under slightly different circumstances, could have resulted in harm to people, damage to property or loss to processes .It refers also to an event which may or may not result in a loss.
