论英语电影片名汉译的顺应性解释 On the Chinese Translation of English Movie Titles from the Perspective of Adaptation Theory 内 容 摘 要 随着经济全球化，人们的物质生活不断丰富，同时精神生活也充实，电影成了人们休闲、娱乐的一种重要方式。同时，许多外国电影特别是英语电影如潮水般涌入国内电影市场。片名就如同电影的门楣，它能够吸引观众，诱导观众观看影片。因此,一个好的片名翻译对一部电影是非常重要的。所以片名翻译研究日益受到翻译领域学者的关注。 Verschueren提出的顺应论为片名翻译研究开拓了一个新的视角。虽然它是一个新兴理论，但有着很强的解释力，并且在国内外翻译界都产生了深远的影响。在顺应性理论的指导下，结合一些相关的英语电影片名的知识、电影片名翻译和相关的翻译策略，从语言语境顺应和非语言语境顺应的视角分别探讨电影片名的语音、语言特点、审美情趣和文化语境在英文电影片名翻译中的顺应，为英文电影片名翻译建立了一个可行的操作模式，证明了顺应论的普遍性和解释力。 关键词：顺应论；电影片名翻译；语言和非语言顺应 Abstract With the development of economy globalization, people’s material and spiritual life enriches continuously, and watching a movie has gradually become a popular form of entertainment to many people. At the same time, many excellent movies from foreign countries, especially the English movies, keep gushing into our domestic market. Movie title is the trademark of a movie, which can attract more audiences and evoke them to watch it. So an excellent title translation is very important for a movie. Therefore, movie titles translation study draws much attention of many scholars in the translation field. The adaptation theory proposed by Verschueren provides a new perspective for the study of movie title translation. It is a new-born but more encompassing theory, and it exerts a significant influence on the translation field at home and abroad. Investigating sound, linguistic feature, aesthetic need and context of culture adaptation to the Chinese translation of English movie titles respectively from the perspective of linguistic context and non-linguistic context, which is under the guidance of adaptation theory and with a combination of some basic knowledge of movie titles and translations of movie titles as well as relevant translation strategies. It establishes a workable model for the Chinese translation of English movie titles and proves the wide applicability of adaptation theory.
