Personal Aims: What you want to achieve from a developmental perspective I would like to improve my freer practice design. Language/Skills Focus: What language or skill(s) you will include Lexical: paint, work, live ,stay, decide, and ‘as a child, I…’yesterday. Functional: asking and answering questions about completed events/actions in the past. Pronunciation: Pronunciation of ‘ed’ for regular verbs. Main Task and Slide: What task will Activate this language Slide 4 will be used to familiarize the Ss with the simple past tense. Slide 5 will be used to focus on the forms of the verbs in the past tense. Slide 8 will be used to consolidate the use of simple past tense in a writing. Anticipated Problems and Solutions: Language, Instructions, Timing, etc. Ss might know the simple past tense when they read but they might not use them in their conversation when they need to. Ss could be encouraged to do more oral practice of simple past tense in the forms of asking questions or in a writing, or doing an error correction. Assumptions: Previous Learning, Learning Styles, etc. Ss already learnt the simple past tense in the middle school or university.
