Abstract Puning is a famous commercial city. Here all things come to the city. 10000 port which smooth flow of goods, radiate the whole country, especially in clothing, medicines, tea, fruit and other special markets, ten famous markets which have been paied tribute in north and south. There are 36 kinds of markets in the city , with a total area of 35 million square meters. Liusha Clothing Specialized market is a nation of professional market and the country of civilization hundred bazaars. Chinese herbal medicine approved by the state professional market in the first batch of eight Chinese medicinal herbs nationwide fixed-point markets. From years of data and trends of Puning, we can see Puning prospects for the development of foreign trade that has a shine. There are four parts with the party.They are survey,operating analyse,opportunity and challenge,developing countermeasure of Puning foreign trade.And last part is the most important.The study was to analysis the strengths and challenges of foreign trade from the various aspects of Puning and historical data, forecasting the development of foreign trade Puning Space prospects.It would be help the reality of foreign trade to the development of the industry Puning. Key Words：City Puning ,foreign trade, prospects, countermeasures 1. 普宁市外贸行业的概况 对外贸易，简称外贸，是指一个国家（或地区）与另一个国家（或地区）之间的商品、劳务和技术的交换活动。这种贸易由进口和出口两部分组成。对于运进商品或劳务的国家（或地区）来说，就是进口；而对于运出商品或劳务的国家（或地区）来说，就是出口。它是在奴隶社会开始产生，在封建社会得到发展的，到了资本主义社会，发展更加迅速。 对外贸易是一条将各个商品生产发展不同水平的国家（或地区）联系起来的纽带，通过这种贸易，使作为一般等价物的货币深入到他们的经济生活中，使这些国家和民族的劳动产品日益具有商品和交换价值的性质，价值规律逐渐支配了他们的生产。通过对外贸易，参与国际分工，节约社会劳动，不仅使各国的资源得到最大的配置，并且保证了社会再生产的顺利进行，实现其扩大再生产的加速发展。 而相应的，外贸行业就是指从事与两个不同国家或地区之间的商品、劳务和技术的交换活动的经营单位或个体组织结构的体系。 1.1 普宁市的概况 普宁市位于广东省东南部、潮汕平原西缘。中国至今唯一的中国中药名城试点城市，广东省沿海经济开放区城市，海峡西岸经济区西南片次中心城市。拥有粤东最大陆路口岸，目前是拥有地级市经济管理权限的县级城市，也是广东改省直市呼声最高的城市。 普宁市地处粤、闽、赣陆路交通枢纽，具有优越的投资环境，拥有四通八达的交通网络，基础设施日趋完善，揭普高速、普惠高速、国道324线，省道236线、238线在市区交汇，市区西距省会广州市400公里，东距汕头市60公里，北距揭阳市区40公里。 图1 广东省普宁市地图 资料来源：百度地图http：// 全市有工
