In the wake of developments in social condition, especially in terms of education, women’s social status has improved greatly. Unlike the old time , they get married in their teens or twenties . The family was not dominated by men anymore .Women get their own ideas and become more independent. Because of that,“leftover woman”appeared ,which arouse wide concern. We designed this questionnaire for getting more information about the leftover woman. We surveyed 50 people totally, among them are college students ,university teachers, security guards, and family members .The results of 25 pieces of questionnaire are from online research, and another half are from field survey.22 are men,28 are women. From the research, we get four points. Above of all, when we mention leftover women, what’s significant reason to result in leftover women phenomenon? Women nowadays are more confident, well-educated and independent. They can support themselves well, whatever the economy or emotion. Apart from that they are of high expectations of marriage, and they particular about their lovers. More than that they afraid of being restricted by family, they would lose their own freedom. After the research we know that some people would be sympathetic for leftover woman. In that Chinese would think you are poor if you are not married in a proper age .while some well-educated women, such as teachers, they appreciated them. Put another way , education background wound influent the attitude towards leftover woman. With the growth of leftover woman , a series of social problems have been seen . At the same time , a variety of dating show become a hit. While over 50 percent of respondents prefer to let nature take its course, and most of them aged under 35.
