Unit 3 Celebration Communication workshop辅导与测试 一、描述一个事件，首先要交待事件发生的时间，而学生往往在用英语表达时出现各种错误 1. in last year/week/night 应是last year/week/night, 其实在next, last, that+时间名词结构中，名词前不加介词。如：next week, last week, this morning, that evening等。 2. on June 12th, in 2006 应是 on June 12th , 2006. 3.习惯表达法 at night. in the evening/morning 但是有修饰语时用on 例如： on a rainy night, on a dark evening , on a Friday night 4.注意时间顺序 At 4:00 o’clock am, on August 2nd ,2006. 2006年八月二日下午四点。（从小到大的顺序） 二、 时态 描述的事件已经发生了，对于描述者来说是一件过去的事，所以文章的基本时态应该是过去时。例如： We took pictures of us. The next day we got up at five o’clock. 三、 运用适当的连接词 例如：What’s more, unfortunately, luckily, what’s worse, apart from, as a result of, in one’s surprise 这些连词的使用使行文连贯，上下文过渡自然。 四、注意词组的使用 如 be busy doing, look out of, all the time, look forward to, get down to, succeed in, walk up to, make preparations for, come back to, see sb doing on one’s way to, 这些词组都是在描述事件中使用频率很高的词组， 记住这些词组能在有限的时间内组织句子，写好一篇作文。 练习 一、Give the correct form of the verbs in brackets.
