NAMA National Asset Management Agency - Public Overview 16th November 2009. ;NAMA - What it is and what will it do?; Implementation of this initiative is absolutely necessary. NAMA is NOT an Irish tax-payers bail-out of the banks and the property developers that could saddle future Irish generations with long term debt. The property developers will be the big losers and the banks will have to share the financial risk. NAMA is firstly an “Asset Management company” dealing with assets transferred from banks. NAMA will not be a bank as it will not be taking deposits from the public and will n
