Fun and more than fun;be famous for “因……而出名”,表示出事物的特征或人物的特长
Columbus is famous for his discovery of America. be famous as“作为……而出名”,所接名词作主语的同位语
Luxun is famous as a writer.
be famous to “为谁所知” 表示某个地方或某个范围的人都知道
Disneyland is famous to people all over the world.;2.Whichever and whatever you like,
there is a theme park for you.
whatever = no matter what
whichever = no matter which
wherever = no matter where
whenever = no matter when
however = no matter how
“疑问词+ever”既可以引导名词性从句,还可以引导状语从句,而 “no matter+疑问词”只能引导状语从句.
Whatever / No matter what happens,
don’t be surprised. ;3. be familiar with (某人) 熟悉,通晓,
精通(某事)
I am familiar with some theme parks
now.
be familiar to (某事) 被(某人)熟悉的
These tales are familiar to Chinese
children.;4. come true 后面不能接宾语,没有被动语态
realize 是及物动词, 后接名词作宾语,
一般用被动语态.
Our dream came true.
= Our dream was realized.

too much last night. ;6. one of + n (pl.) 此结构单独作主语,谓语动词用单数. one of + n (pl.) 其定语从句谓语动词用复数.若one前the或 the only修饰谓语动词用单数
One of the students has ever been to Disneyland.
He is one of the students who have ever been to Disneyland.
He is the only one students who
has ever been to Disneyland. ;7. celebrate 表示 “庆祝, 祝贺”之意,其宾语是事。
如: 节日,胜利,结婚纪念,生日等。
congratulate指对人进行祝贺,表达就某事向某人祝贺时要在“某事”前加上on或upon.
How do you celebrate Christmas?
I congratulate you on your success.
[拓展] in celebration of = for the celebration of “为了祝贺…… 为了庆祝……”
