Teaching Procedures: Step 1: Lead-in Give students two pictures and four incomplete sentences and then ask students to fill in the blanks. The group _is_ made up of nine students. Ask students to have a group discussion and find out the grammar rules in the above four sentences. Grammar rules: Collective nouns can have a singular or plural verb.
