In order to hold school activities conveniently, schools often have some clubs, for example football club, English club, radio club and so on. Do our school have some school clubs? (Yes.) Today, we are going to read two articles about school clubs. Please turn to page 18, look at Part A in Project: Starting a new school club. Step 2 Reading 1 Ask students to read the first passage and find out as much information as they can about the radio club. For example: Who started the radio club: (Kate Jones, the writer) When the radio club started: (two years ago) Why the radio club started: (CD players were not allowed in school; to play music during break time.)
