　Grammar;接动词-ing形式作宾语的动词 一、英语中常接-ing形式作宾语的动词 enjoy，finish，avoid，admit，practise，consider，imagine，keep，advise，suggest，escape，appreciate，understand，allow，permit，forbid，mind，miss，can’t help，excuse，risk等。;I enjoy watching sports news.我喜欢看体育新闻。 I can’t imagine working under such conditions. 我想像不出在这样的环境下工作的情形。 We don’t allow smoking here.我们这里不允许抽烟。;二、有些动词短语跟动词-ing形式但不跟不定式作宾语 insist on，object to，be good at，lead to，put off，give up，look forward to，feel like，devote...to，get used to，pay attention to，be fond of，be worth，set about，keep on等。 I don’t feel like going to the movie.我不想去看电影。 We are looking forward to travelling abroad. 我们都盼望出国旅游。;三、有些动词既可以跟不定式又可以跟动名词作宾语，但含义不同 常见的动词有： ;The little girl soon stopped crying. 小女孩很快就停止了哭泣。 He stopped to look at the map.他停下来看看地图。 I tried to finish the work on time.我尽力按时完成工作。 I tried solving the problem in another way. 我试着用另一种方法解决。;注意： 1．continue to do与continue doing含义相同可换用。 2．like/love/hate/dislike/prefer后跟不定式或动名词作宾语时意思差别不大，但当表示通常的一种倾向或正在发生的事情时，其后多跟动名词形式；当表示某一特定行为或还未发生的行为时，其后多接不定式。;3．在want，need，require等动词后，总是用v.-ing形式的主动形式表示被动意义，相当于“to be＋v.-ed”形式。 My watch needs repairing/to be repaired.我的手表需要修理了。;Ⅰ.用括号内所给动词的适当形式填空 1．You’d better stay here to avoid________(go) back and forth every day. 答案：　going 2．I don’t mind delaying________(make) the decision as long as it is not too late. 答案： making;3．I can’t help________(repair) your bike，because I have to prepare for my exam. 答案： 　(to) repair 4．Our teacher suggested________(put) off the sports meet until next week because of the bad weather. 答案： 　putting;5．Your hair needs________(cut)．You’d better have it done tomorrow. 答案： 　cutting 6．Try________(knock) at the back door if nobody hears you at the front door. 答案： 　knocking;7．My son got down to________(do) his homework as soon as he came back from school. 答案： 　doing 8．Her husband doesn’t think she should continue ________(work) after the baby is born. 答案： 　to work/working;9．He used to________(get) up late when he was young，but he is used to________(
