Lead-in Tell students that I want to buy a new mobile phone and my husband recommends the two in the picture to me. Ask them if they have good ways to help me to make the decision. Then show them the information on PPT5 and tell them I have made final decision by comparing information. Ask students whether they know who the new president of USA is. Ask them whether they know how American people choose their president. Show them the information on PPT7 and help them understand how American people make comparisons. 设计说明: 从生活中小事的解决到选举总统这样的大事都离不开“比较”,让学生明白“比较”的重要性,导入本课主题。 Step 2. Tips on comparing information Help students find out how to compare information before making decisions and complete the work on page 14.
