Section Ⅳ　Grammar Writing;非限制性定语从句 一、非限制性定语从句的使用场合 1．先行词为独一无二的物体时。 The Moon, which lacks an atmosphere, receives abundant energy from the Sun.月球没有大气层，因而能充分接受阳光照射，有丰富的太阳能可供利用。 2．先行词是指物的专有名词时。 New York City, which was founded in 1653, is an old city.1653年建成的纽约市是座古老的城市。;3．先行词指物而且被指示代词或人称代词修饰时。 Yesterday he sold his car, which he bought a month ago.昨天他卖了他一个月之前刚买的的车。 4．定语从句修饰整个主句时。 He changed his mind, which made me very angry. 他改变了主意，这使我很生气。 They turned a deaf ear to our demands, which was not reasonable .他们对我们的要求置之不理，这是毫无道理的。;5．当出现some/many/few/a few/little/much/most/...＋of whom(which)引导定语从句时，多用非限制性定语从句。 I met some students, several of whom were freshmen. 我碰到一些学生，有几个是新生。 Mary borrowed a few books, three of which are in Chinese.玛丽借了几本书，其中三本是中文书。 ;跟踪训练 1．(2013·高考安徽卷)Mo Yan was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2012， __________made one of the Chinese people’s long held dreams come true.
