The Ninth Period Communication Workshop (II) Teaching goals 教学目标 1. Teaching important points教学重点 How to show sympathy in communication Teaching difficult points教学难点 How to use ellipsis in speaking Teaching methods教学方法 Listening, speaking, discussing and writing Teaching aids 教具准备 Multi-computer Teaching procedures ways 过程与方式 Step I Revision Check the homework Step II Listening A song Ask students to guess the missing words in the lyrics of “Daniel” By Elton John. Listen to the song “Daniel” By Elton John and check the guesses. Then ask several students to sing the song. Try to experience the feeling in the song. T: I know many of you are English songs lovers. Have you ever listened to the song “Daniel” By Elton John? Ss: Yes/No. T: On page 13 are the lyrics. Please read the lyrics and guess the missing words. Then I will play the tape for you to check if your guesses are correct. After checking the answers, play the tape again fro students to experience the feeling in the song. Then ask students to sing the song full of emotion according to their own interpretations of the song. Step III Listening Situational Dialogues Deal with Ex 1 2. Play the tape for students to listen to three situational dialogues. Ask students to match the given words with each dialogue. Listen to the dialogues again and decide the situations where each one takes place. Step IV Speaking A Rolepaly Before you start Deal with Ex 1.
