2) Get students be familiar with “Jurassic Park” and “Brave New World”.
3) Learn the language in this part and get the students to read the Cultural Corner by themselve

新课导入设计
Sample1
Show Ss the picture and introduce one of the most famous twentieth century
novels to them.Then ask some questions about the future in order to arouse
Ss’interest in it.
(1)Have you ever imagine your future?
(2)What can we see in the future?
(3)Can we create a robot for US to do everything for us?
Sample 2
Before class, T asks students to get as much information as they can. And they should write a Book Review accoring to the materials on the internet.
Show several sections from the novel “Brave New World”, and ask them give a outlook about the novel, at the same time other groups can add information to the clues.

Cultural Corner
Teaching Goals:
1.To enable Ss to write an argument about cloning.
2.To help Ss learn how to talk about cloning.
3.To let Ss know more about the possible development of cloning.

Step 1.Revision
Check the answers to Grammar exercises on P91-92 and give Ss some instruction.
Step 2.Cultural Corner
Purpose:To enable Ss to know about the possible development of cloning.
