Methods T he prenatal so no graphic characteristics of fetal bo wel obstructio n w ere analyzed retrospectiv ely , and w ere com- pared to patholog ical finding s after birth. Results Eight fet uses w ith bow el obstructiv e diseases were detected during 19th ) 35th week of g estat ion. F our fetuses w ere detected o f multiple dilated fluied- filled bow el loops ( 21 1) 31 2 cm) with increas- ing peristalsis: T hree fetuses w ere diag nosed as jejunal obstructio n w ith surg ery after birt h. O ne fetus was lo st at follow- up. T w o fetuses w ere detected of dilat ed fluid- filled bow el lo ops witho ut increased peristalsis and were diagnosed as ileal at resia with bo th ultrasound examinat ion and surg ery after birth, and o ne fetus dev elo ped into meconium perito nitis. T w o fetuses o f co lo n obst ruct ion had not been detected of any bow el dilatat
