Methods 38 patients with indications for exploratory thoracotomy, thoracic internal organs deal with injury, off his chest with absorbable intramedullary nail fixation rib line, after maintenance of respiratory function, chest X-ray examination from time to time to understand the fracture healing. Results All patients were in stage incisions healed without complications such as wound infection and empyema, 6 months after fracture healing. Conclusion absorbable intramedullary nail in the treatment of rib fracture method is simple and effective, safe and easy. Results All the fractures healed 6 months after surgery.There was no complication of incision infection and empyema.Conclusion It is safe and effective to use absorbable intrmedullary nails for treating multiple rib fractures.
