Methods The mouse tail suspension test, forced swimming test in rats, the disappointment of animal fixed time indicators; use of reserpine induced depression model to eyelid drooping to observe the level and temperature indicators, evaluation of borneol on the 5  hydroxy tryptophan antidepressant effects. Results borneol can enhance 5  HTP shortened tail suspension and forced swimming test in the disappointing time; can be enhanced by a 5  HTP against reserpine-induced ptosis in mice and the temperature drops. Conclusion borneol 5  HTP can enhance the antidepressant effect.
