Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 36 patients admitted to our department of traumatic diaphragmatic rupture in patients with clinical data, its cause of injury, injury distribution, injury severity (ISS) score, diagnosis, and surgery after treatment were analyzed. which left diaphragmatic rupture in 29 cases, the right side in 6 cases, bilateral in 1 case. transthoracic surgery in 6 cases, 30 cases of abdominal, thoracoabdominal 1 case. Results: 34 patients were cured, 2 died (1 died of bilateral multiple rib fractures, lung contusion, severe liver and spleen rupture of hemorrhagic shock, DIC, 1 patient with severe brain contusion and respiratory and circulatory function failure and death). Conclusion: Diaphragmatic rupture due to blunt violence, complex injuries, preoperative misdiagnosis rate, high mortality; early diagnosis, proper treatment and timely surgical treatment of associated injuries is the key to saving lives of patients.
