METHODS: CalceinAM stained H9/HIV1 Ⅲ B cells were treated with serially diluted CHN injection, then cocultured with target cells MT2, and HIV1mediated cell fusion was observed under a fluorescent microscope. The protective effect of CHN on HIV1infected cells was determined by MTT. Viral replication was evaluated by measuring the level of p24 antigen in culture supernatants by ELISA. RESULTS: CHN injection could suppress the fusion of MT2 and H9/HIV1 Ⅲ B cells (EC50: 5.49 mg / L, SI: 327.6), thus protecting HIV1 infected cells from death (EC50: 64.57 mg / L, SI: 27.85), and decreasing p24 antigen release (EC50: 194.67 mg / L, SI: 9.23). CONCLUSION: CHN injection can inhibit HIV1 infection in vitro.
