Methods MTT was used to detect the antiproliferative effect of cinobufacin , GEM and cinobufacin + GEM on HepG2 cells. Immunocytochemistry was used to examine cellular localization and OPN levels. Results Cinobufacin, GEM, cinobufacin + GEM produced time and dose dependent inhibition of HepG2 cells. Cinobufacin + GEM showed a higher apoptosis rate induction than cinobufacin or GEM alone (P lt;0.05). The expression level of OPN was reduced by cinobufacin.
