Methods A retrospective analysis from January 2003 to January 2007 injury severity score (injury severity score, ISS) greater than 25 points in 23 cases of severe multiple trauma with multiple fractures in patients treated with damage control strategy for treatment and observation of perioperative complications, mortality, and fracture healing, particularly the recovery of limb and joint function.
