Methods hospital since March 2003 ~ December 2007 had treated 23 cases of femoral shaft fractures in children, including 15 cases of use of external fixation devices, all patients were followed up, patients were followed up 8 to 24 months, an average of 16 months. The results were 15 cases of bone healing, healing time is 2 ~ 5 months without a case of re-fractures, nonunion and infection. Conclusions Treatment of external fixation of femoral shaft fractures in children in the middle of fractures of the best, because of its treatment of bone fractures security, the precise reduction and fixation, which will help early activities is worthy of popularization and application of clinical treatment.
