Farewell corporate imperialism!
20 years ago, when the influx of Western companies competing in emerging markets, they all have a narrow and arrogant mentality. They will countries like China and India, just as a market expansion goals, thinking that everywhere where the desire for modern goods and services are all potential consumers. We call this view as ‘corporate imperialism’ (corporate imperialism), it is this mentality led to multi-national corporations in developing countries, to make the wrong row operations, marketing and distribution of decision-making.
In the first wave of flood wave of emerging markets, multinational companies take it for granted as the vast number of developing countries to sell their old products, new markets, thus looking forward to a lucrative picture - not only can greatly enhance the sales of existing products, but also from the decline of the technology has become to squeeze more profits.
These companies are positioning their products and advertising in a small number of relatively affluent customers to buy - because they were closest to the typical Western consumers.
