METHODS: 72 Kunming male mice were randomly divided into 3 groups: control group (saline), model group (bleomycin) and treatment group (bleomycin + prednisone), n = 24. The first day of each group were sacrificed 7,14,21,28 6 mice. aseptically removed lung tissue of mice under, RT PCR detection of mRNA expression of IL 28B. Results: 7,14,21 days, the model group, the mRNA expression of IL 28B was significantly higher (P lt;0.05 , P lt;0.01, P lt;0.01); which the model group at 14 days, IL 28B highest expression. No. 7,14,21 days, the treatment group IL 28B of the mRNA expression was significantly lower than model group (P lt;0.05, P lt;0.01, P lt;0.01). Conclusion: IL 28B involved in lung fibrosis, the development process early in lung fibrosis play an important role. [Keywords:] IL-28B; interferon 3; pulmonary fibrosis [Abstract] Objective: To determine the expressions of Interleukin 28B (IL 28B) in lung tissues of mice with pulmonary fibrosis (PF) induced by bleomycin at various periods and to study the effects of the cytokine in the pathogenesis of pulmonary fibrosis.Methods: Seventy two male mice were randomly divided into three groups: control group (n = 24), model group (n = 24) and therapy group (n = 24). The mice of control group were treated with normal saline by intratracheal instillation, while the mice of model group and therapy group treated with bleomycin solutions.From the first day after bleomycin challenge, the therapy group was perfused into stomach prednisone daily.On day 7, 14, 21, 28 after administration, 6 mice of each group were sacrificed and the lung tissues were harvested.The expressions of IL 28B mRNA in lung tissue of mice were detected by method of
