 PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 4 Infant oral and rectal chloral hydrate administration Observation of curative effect [Abstract] Objective: Infant sedation using chloral hydrate oral and rectal administration, administration of these two kinds of methods to observe the effects produced by comparison. Methods: the need for pulmonary function testing and the use of water combined sedative chloral 259 infants, according to admission time of odd-even date of treatment group were randomly divided into oral and rectal retention enema treatment group, and then were observed in children with sleep time, the number of drug side effects occurred, these two sets of data for analysis. Results: Different methods of administration after the children had a different reaction, oral group was mainly vomiting and choking, of which 84 cases of vomiting, cough in 18 cases, leading to re-administration of the 85 patients. The rectal administration of the adverse reactions occurred mainly diarrhea, a total of 14 cases, re-administered in 12 cases. Conclusion: The two groups of children there was no significant difference in sleep time, while the side reaction occurs with a significant number of nursing staff for the oral group simple and relatively complex enema group. However, adverse effects and medication was the number of dosage accuracy, the general children should choose a rectal administration; diarrhea in children, oral administration should be chosen.
