Methods 74 patients with type 2 diabetes patients and 15 healthy people, routine measurement of height, weight, blood pressure, blood glucose, fasting insulin, glycosylated hemoglobin, lipids, urinary albumin excretion rate; measured by ELISA, serum levels of IGF  1; with multi - Doppler ultrasound examination for lower extremity arterial disease. Results ① diabetes, serum levels of IGF  1 was significantly higher; ② diabetes with lower extremity arterial disease, serum IGF  1 levels were significantly higher than those without lower extremity arterial disease group, and serum IGF  1 levels and lower extremity arterial disease positive correlation between severity; ③ diabetic lower extremity arterial disease severity and urinary albumin excretion rate, duration, blood total cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein (LDL) levels were positively correlated. Conclusions Serum levels of IGF  1 diabetes may reflect the severity of lower extremity vascular disease, the diagnosis of diabetic vascular disease have reference value, and may be used as treatment of diabetic vascular disease a new target.
