METHODS: Fifty patients were classified into two groups: 28 patients in stenttreatment group and 22 in coronary angiography (CAG). The levels of NFκ B activity preprocedural and during the days after stent placement were determined using electrophoresis mobility shift assay (EMSA). RESULTS: The levels of NFκ B activity in stenttreatment group from preprocedural to the 4th hour, 1st, 2nd and 3rd days after stent placement were (1.17 ± 0.25) fold, (1.23 ± 0.30) fold, (2.00 ± 0.45) (2.49 ± 0.46) fold and (2.25 ± 0.4) fold respectively.
