Flavonoids，tannins，coumarins and lignans are confirmed to abound in Phyllanthus urinaria L.，as well as other constituents. Modern pharmacology indicates that it possesses significant activities of anti-HBV，liver protection and anti-cancer，and Phyllanthus urinaria L. is mainly used to treat viral hepatitis B，infection of the intestinal and urinary systems and so on.
