How To Scan Your VWCC Computer For Viruses 1. Click Start. 2. Click All Programs. 3. Click Symantec Endpoint Protection. 4. Click Symantec endpoint Protection. 5. The Symantec Endpoint Protection window will open. 6. Click Scan for threats. 7. The Scan for threats screen will open. 8. Click the Full Scan button. 9. The Symantec Endpoint Protection progress window will open. 10. When the scan is complete the Symantec Endpoint Protection progress window will show any infected items found, the number of files scanned and the number of infected files. (See example window below) 11. Call the Help Desk (857-7354) if any infected files are found or if you have any concerns about the scan. 12. If no viruses are found you are finished and can close out of the open Symantec Endpoint Protection windows. Last Update: 5/19/11
